First of all, Happy New Year, I...Hello Anengiyefa,

First of all, Happy New Year, I hope you are fine and well.

There are probably 6.5 billion people in the world, it must be a popular place and I interact with probably not more than 5000 and that is a stretch including everyone I might have ever met.

On Facebook, there are over 500 million users, my own managed network contains a figure less than 200.

Facebook's popularity has no bearing on my network of friends and relations, I take out of it what is of value to me, what others do is of not particular consequence.

You make your Facebook world what you want it to be, pointless or valid; useless or useful; a waste of time or wonderful - it is a template given to you to mould to your own requirements.

Off the shelf, Facebook is nothing, but once populated with your relationships, it becomes your own little Facebook corner.

There might well be a lot of fickleness on Facebook, but that is hardly what I get from those that are my real friends or those who want to engage me positively, productively and in an edifying way.

This should probably go into a blog.

I'll conclude it there.

AkinAkin Akintayohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14254117443398207562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3540911873094895295.post-73196241746999400782011-01-07T16:54:05.851+00:002011-01-07T16:54:05.851+00:00Good advice Akin. But I did all of that and still ...Good advice Akin. But I did all of that and still found it all pointless. The Facebook experience for me was meaningless and I have not lasted more than a month each time I've joined in something that so many others seem to derive so much pleasure from.

The apparent overwhelming fickleness of most of what happens on Facebook taken together with its popularity, causes one to wonder about human kind generally..Anengiyefahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12680156670687593504noreply@blogger.com
